Center of Sokobanja spa

Sokobanja is a famous tourist and climatic spa in eastern Serbia, situated in the valley through which the Moravica river flows, surrounded by seven mountains from which the highest is Rtanj (1560 m). Wooded mountains which are rich in thermal springs and cristal clean water, gives Sokobanja a high place in the health and recreational tourism in Serbia. Soko banja counts about 9000 inhabitants, and with 25 villages in municipality, has slightly over 20,000 inhabitants. Tourism is the main economic sector and agriculture is the second. Industry is forbidden due to ecological rules. Sokobanja can be reached through from almost all directions in Serbia.

Since ancient times known as a tourist destination, Sokobanja contains all the elements for the formation and development tourism: thermal waters, ideal altitude, untouched nature, rich cultural heritage, sports facilities ... There is a variety of cultural entertainment and sporting events throughout the year,so tourists love visiting Sokobanja and because of that it is still one of the most visited tourist sights in Serbia.


Last year, Soko Banja received two awards: "Tourist Flower", the most visited tourist place until July, 2008. and "Gold Medal", at Tourism Fair in Novi Sad, for the quality of the offer. Apartments in Sokobanja are high quality.
