Hiked along the bisse Heido in the Nanz Valley. The "bisses" or Suonen are traditional irrigation channels built several centuries ago to water the cultivated land with previous glacier water.
The Suone Heido was first mentioned in 1305. There is a wonderful trail following this water channel.
I took the Postauto to Visperterminen and the chairlift up to Giw.
Here I am still following the Suone Heido. Unbelievable that this narrow water channel is more than 700 years old.
Here I am almost at the end of the valley and the trail returns back on the other side of the Nanz Valley. Here we are at about 2,450 meters.
