太平渔夫：
太平湖在1949年前还是一条流了五千年的大河，河的两岸是山城古镇，河的下游便是有名的青弋江。1957年国家准备修建100个水利工程，陈村水库为其中之一，陈村水库位于太平县，即为黄山区与泾县交界的地方。当时同时设计修建的还有浙江的新安江水库，即千岛湖。陈村水库在1970年建成并开始蓄水遂成为陈村湖，1979年改名为太平湖。在此之前，搬迁了两座县城，一座是原太平县城，一座是石台县城，原来河流两岸的居民都搬迁移民到别处去了，古老的集镇被淹没水底，成了湖底老街。就这样，流淌了几千年的河流转变成年轻秀丽的太平湖了。
