The Salt Cathedral is located in the City of Zipaquirá, a town of the Department of Cundinamarca, 29 kilometers north of the Capital District of Bogotá and at an altitude of 2,680 meters above sea level. This city is not only famous for the exploitation of salt, but also for one of the findings of Colombia's oldest human remains in the El Abra Valley.
