The town hall of Bernau is located in Bernau-Innerlehen next to the catholic church of Saint John which was inaugurated in 1738 and a beautifully developed park with a large collection of sundials. The town hall is also home to the tourist information, a postal agency and the Hans Thoma museum which hosts a permanent exhibition of the famous painter Hans Thoma who was born in Bernau and also other changing exhibitions.
