Diese Torfkirche ist eine von sechs Torfkirchen, welche heute noch in Island existieren. Die Kirchen werden als historische Stätten erhalten. Die Kirche wurde 1834 gebaut und hat Wände aus Torf. Beide Giebel dagegen sind aus Holz.
