This nice viewpoint just below the south summit of Verdi Peak overlooks the impressive Lamoille Canyon in the Ruby Mountains outside of Lamoille, Nevada.  Here one can see how a long glacier carved out the valley into a u-shape during the Ice Age, all of which is long gone now & replaced by lovely quaking aspens during the fall season.  There was a bit of haze, mostly blown in from fires burning in Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks in California.
