The Yuanjhong Wetland consists of a 200-hectare land is characterized by its coastal aquaculture and mangrove forest. Sitting next to a military base harbor and with restricted access from visiting over the past decades, the area is blessed with healthier and sounder ecosystem. Approximately 30 hectares southward away from the wetland is a park well designed by the city government to serve various purposes, from natural habitat and wild birds conservation in the mangrove forest, to flood-prevention and education. Visitors are able to enjoy the view of a diversity of plants and animals.
