Legendary krautrock band Faust playing live at a packed gig in the Ruby Lounge, Manchester. Their gigs are known for mixing art performance with chainsaws, angle grinders etc, with dynamic, hypnotic experimental rock sets… and this was no exception.

Shooting conditions were tough, but it was great to be so close to the action with such an energetic group playing live. The audience was one of the most varied I've seen at a gig, the atmosphere was electric, and the music was consistently excellent. Pretty amazing for a for a band originally formed in 1971!

I was lucky enough to get access to this concert with Faust while working alongside a video production company who were documenting the evening. Thanks to Toasted and the Ruby Lounge, as well as to Jean-Hervée from Faust.
