Aerial drone view on a summer day - over the fortress of St. Anne (Annenskaya fortress) - Lower Don, the vicinity of the village of Starocherkasskaya.

The fortress was built in 1731 by order of the Russian Empress Anna Ioannovna. Until 1760 it was a military building. Fortress of St. Anne - a fortification in the form of a hexagon with 6 forts in the corners. The height of the gentle earthen ramparts ranged from 5 to 6 meters and a width of about 3.5 meters. The circumference of the ramparts is about 2 km.
