Admiral Collingwood monument, North Shields
England

A monument erected in memory of Admiral Lord Collingwood, which looks out to sea at the mouth of the River Tyne. According to the plaque, Collingwood led the British Fleet into action onboard HMS Royal Sovereign at the Battle of Trafalgar, sustaining the sea fight for upwards of an hour before other ships were within gunshot range. The four guns situated on the monument are from HMS Royal Sovereign.
