Akiyoshi Cave - Chimachida
Japan

Akiyoshi Cave is shown with a sightseeing road of approximately 1km in the eastern part of Mine-shi, Yamaguchi prefecture. It is a stalactite cave in 100-200m below ground of Akiyoshi-dai. One of the largest stalactite caves in Japan. A river under the ground runs down for approximately 1km to the enterance from the kotoga deep water in depths of the cave.

It is a special natural monument, belongs to Akiyoshidai Seminational Park.

The Chimachida means huge rice fields.

The eight islands of Japan sprang into existence through Divine Intervention.The first two gods who came into existence were Izanagi no Mikoto and Izanami no Mikoto, the Exalted Male and Exalted Female.
