A view from the parking area of Amboy Crater & lava flow near Amboy, California. The cinder cone itself is estimated around 79,000 years old w/ lava flow eruptions as recently as 10,000 years ago. A trail leads one to the crater rim & interior to which I will have to recent on a cooler day.
