KOURANKEI is famous place of the autumnal leaves representing the Tokai area in the Asuke area of Toyota-shi. It is considered as beginning that Priest SANEI of 香積寺 (KOUJAKUJI-Temple) in IIMORIYAMA which Kan-ei era (1634)has planted the tree of maple or a Japan cedar in the approach from Tomoegawa-River to 香積寺. Furthermore, in early stages of Showa (the 1920s), many maple planted and was added by local residents' volunteer's hand . About 4000 maple piles up red,orange, yellow color, and looks beautiful in a clear stream. 愛知県豊田市足助地区にある東海地区を代表する紅葉の名所。寛永年間(1634年頃)飯盛山にある香積寺(こうじゃくじ)の三栄和尚が、巴川から香積寺に至る参道にカエデやスギの木を植えたのが始まりとされる。さらに、大正末年から昭和初期(1920年代)には地元住民のボランティアの手によって数多くのカエデが植え足された。約4000本のカエデが赤、橙、黄と色を重ね、清流に映える。
The eight islands of Japan sprang into existence through Divine Intervention.The first two gods who came into existence were Izanagi no Mikoto and Izanami no Mikoto, the Exalted Male and Exalted Female. It was their job to make the land for people to live on.They went to the bridge between heaven and earth and, using a jewel-encrusted halberd, Izanagi and Izanami churned up the sea into a frothy foam. As salty drips of water fell from the tip of the halberd the first island was formed. Its name was Onogoro.So far, so good. But when Izanagi and Izanami first met on their island, Izanami spoke to Isanagi without being spoken to first.
