Bats Fly at Dusk
Austin

In the summer, every evening at sunset, the thousands of bats that nest under Congress Avenue bridge wake up and they are hungry. At the sun dips out of sight, the squeaking bats emerge from the crevices between the beams that support the bridge deck. They start by flying a few warm-up circles under the spans and then they form bat-clouds that swarm out from under the south end of the bridge.
