镜山口：
镜山位于上高县城东，“其山有三，端圆如镜”。镜山有上镜山、中镜山、下镜山三座山峰，其山顶皆如圆镜一般，故取名镜山。它西枕敖岭，南临锦水。中镜山、下镜山与上镜山对峙形成的峡谷——镜山口。320国道贯穿而过，山上松杉蔽日，林深草长，地形极为险要。原是南昌去长沙的必由之路。现在的镜山口已无险可守了，320公路的拓宽改造，和城市快速扩展，将镜山口分为两侧，一侧成为“抗日阵亡将士陵园”，一侧改造为市民休憩公园。上世纪九十年代前，这里还是一夫当关万夫莫开的狭隘，狭窄的湘赣公路在山谷中“之”字形盘旋。1941年上高会战，这里是核心阵地，中国军队利用天然屏障——镜山口，诱敌于镜山以东的广阔地区，大败日军于镜山脚下，镜山口因此被誉为“抗战圣地”。
