Behind Avro Vulcan XJ824
England

The Avro Vulcan is a 30m wide jet-powered delta wing strategic bomber that formed part of the V-Force bomber fleet that was made up of the Valiant, Vulcan and Victor aircraft. It formed the backbone of the UK's nuclear airborne deterant during the cold war. It was powered by 4 Rolls-Royce Olympus engines pushing it along at upto 645 mph (Mach 0.96) and climbing it to a service ceiling of 17,000 meters.

After they were taken out of service many were taken into museums and put on display like XJ824 here at Duxford. Out of all of these there are two which are in taxiable condition (XL426 and XM655) and one which is currently airworthy (XH558 - "The Spirit of Great Britian") and is used for display flights and airshows, a sight and sound worth experiencing for yourself.
