Bath, Brassknocker Hill, Midford Valley. Blackthorn Blossom. VR

This image has been re-mastered for Virtual Reality using a suitable viewer.

Blackthorn blossom overlooking the Midford Valley near Brassknocker Hill. It is a common hedgerow tree, an ancestor of today's cultivated plums. Its autumn fruit is used to make Sloe gin and the Irishman's shillelagh.

It is rumoured that a strange bear-like beast with huge teeth and white rings round its eyes, prowls the area.

Brassknocker Hill is a popular stage for cycling events.
