Braganca , River Fervenca Park
Portugal

Located in an extension that goes from the citadel to the space that will have been reached by the urban expansion in the 16th or 17th century, the green corridor of Fervença constitutes a reference element in the city's experience, marked by the presence of the river and the perspective that opens over Monte São Bartolomeu, and its use has long been claimed by the population.

This space is historically associated with the uses and customs practiced around the River Fervença, in a space characterized by the transition between the left bank, where the city developed mostly, and the right bank, marked by the slopes of Monte de São Bartolomeu.

The National Program for Urban Requalification and Environmental Enhancement of Cities - POLIS - based on two projects:

This park came to dignify and benefit the River Fervença as it passes through the city, making it more visible and accessible to all citizens and, in particular, all residents of the riverside area.
