An aerial view of Caernarfon Castle, a medieval fotress overlooking the Welsh town of Caernarfon, on a sunny spring day in Gwynedd, North Wales. The castle was built by the English King Edward the 1st from 1283, replacing an older castle structure that had stood on the site prior.
