Saint Joseph Cathedral, built between 1890 to 1909, is a famous landmark overlooking downtown Noumea. It is right behind the Best Western le Paris Hotel and an easy walk from anywhere in Noumea.
The door is always open and the Cathedral is still in active use. It has recently been renovated and looks great. If you are looking for le Paris Hotel all you need to do is look up from anywhere in Noumea and walk towards the Cathedral.

Noumea is the capital and vacation centre of the Islands of New Caledonia in the South Pacific.
