The Lorettoberg is a small hill located south of the city center of Freiburg. There is a small chapel on top of the Lorettoberg, where the French king Louis XV. Watched the siege of Freiburg in 1744. He was only just missed by a canon ball, that is still stuck in the wall of the chapel – the little dark spot to the left of the round window above the door of the chapel.
