Depot Street Bridge in the town of Rogue River
USA
The Oregon Highway Department has a proud tradition of graceful bridges, especially along the coast. Many of them are various types of arch bridges, ranging from minor stream crossings of a hundred feet or less, to monstrous spans over a thousand feet long. This is the most recent example, built in 2006 over the Rogue River in the town of Rogue River. Its graceful concrete arch honors the tradition of master Oregon bridge engineer Conde B. McCullough.
