Dust Storm July 18th 2016 Chandler, Arizona
Arizona
Dust storms in the Phoenix valley is a normal thing each summer during the monsoon season. Sometimes we get huge ones that are called Hoboobs. Hoboobs pretty much is a brown out and rare cases a black out. Dust storms are followed by rain and at times thunderstorms. Dust storm warnings are pretty good these days, some times the winds can be damaging and most times once the front passes the winds die down. But the look of a Dust Storm is pretty awesome and down right scary of people that have never seen on in person. Most times these storms will just cover everything in dust and drive you nuts if you have a pool. Not good to be in one as its all dust and not great to breathe in, nor driving in one. Photo was taken about 6:30pm, I waited for about 40 mins for the wall to get closer. Once I took this the wall was on top of me and was a brown out.
