Eilean Ban Lighthouse, Kyleakin
Scotland

The Eilean Ban lighthouse is located on a small island in the Kyle of Lochalsh. It was built by renowned Scottish lighthouse engineers David and Thomas Stevenson and first lit in 1857. It was decommissioned in 1993 after being made obsolete by the construction of the adjacent Skye Road Bridge. Despite being inactive, it is maintained as a prominent day mark for navigation.
