Elephant Sanctuary at Punnathur kotta
India
The sanctuary is one of the largest of its kind offering refuge to more than 60 elephants. An interesting feature of this wildlife reserve is that all the elephants have been denoted by the pious devotees of Lord Guruvayoorappan and are consecrated to the same. Popularly recognized as a sacrosanct sanctum for elephants, the sanctuary is teeming with elephants of all ages.
