A view from within the ruins that are the focus of Guayabo National Park in Costa Rica.  These ruins are the most famous in Costa Rica, and though they are not as stunning as the mayan monuments to the north, they are impressive nonetheless.  The site was occupied after approximately 1000 years ago, and was likely a regional capital, in an are of significan cultural development.
