Paidon street is located vertically on Kotsou street and not far from the Emir Zade House of Worship and from the Old Chalkida Bridge. It is said according to Pluto 'on Greece' that this was the burial place of children but no such evidence has surfaced to prove it. On this street lies the 'House on Paidon' which was built about 7 generations ago and has served as the base of operations for the local Passa during Turkish oppression in Greece and later as a home, hotel and as an orphanage.
The architecture and morphology of the house may infer that some families from western Macedonia who built the houses of Siatistas may have visited Chalkida to give a helping hand to some odd request. It is of interest to visit the neoclassic home which lies at the end of the street, the interior due to its current renovated state should present the best and most accurate picture.
