Houtribdijk dam
Netherlands
Houtribdijk is a dam separating IJsselmeer and Markermeer. The road, approximately 30 km long, goes from Enkhuizen to Lelystad. It took 12 years to build the dam, which was finally constructed in 1975. Notice the difference in the colours of the lakes, probably mostly due to the differences in the depth, the Markermeer being much shallower.
