Inchbonniebridge
New Zealand

the two bridges, one carrying the rail traffic from Christchurch to Greymouth with thousands of tonnes of coal each day as well as the Tranz-Alpine tourist train, and the road bridge providing communication between Lake Brunner and the south, a favoured tourist route for camper vans, motor homes and cyclists!!

Until one sees the river in flood it is hard to see why such large bridges are required. One rain storm will soon change that attitude.
