Panorama of the Inlet Channel for the Hydro Power Station Albbruck-Dogern at Dogern, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The 3.5 kilometer long inlet channel diverts water from the river to the hydro power station from 1934 at Albbruck. To improve environmental flows along the original river bed which runs parallel to the channel, a new hydro power station was built across the old river bed between the channel and Switzerland upstream from the old power station. The large cooling tower in the background belongs to the Leibstadt nuclear power station located a short distance upstream.
