During Jimmy Carter's childhood, the area around the family farm was known as Archery, Georgia, and contained the houses of many of the farm's workers, in addition to the Carter's general store. A visit to this farm makes one realize how significant Carter's boyhood experience was in shaping his view of humanity. Jack Clark was Earl Carter's (Jimmy's father) head farmhand. Interestingly, this is the house where Jimmy stayed when his parents went out of town.
