LBNM: Kamookumpts' Hill
California

End of the Petroglyph Bluff Trail just up the road from Petroglyph Point in Lava Beds National Monument near Tulelake, California.  A hazy day from the Gasquet Complex fire west of here made limited views in the Klamath Basin.  The trail ends here where the Modoc Indians view this as the home of Kamookumpts, the creator of the world who sleeps here.  The top of the hill is a volcanic tuff w/ an apparent crater rim.
