竹林山觀音寺也保留本省民間建築藝術的精華。木雕、石刻、不論鳥獸蟲魚、人物花卉、雕鏤得十分精緻典雅。石柱的對聯、書法蒼勁雄邁，都出自名家手 筆。前後花園面積遼闊，種植各種花木，終年蒼翠蔥籠，其中以櫻花最多。每年春天，花開時節，絢爛燦麗的櫻花，嬌豔動人的杜鵑花，引來無數的遊客上山賞花， 媲美陽明山花季。

花園中建有亭台、供遊客休憩之用。並以水泥塑造各種動物，栩栩如生，很受小朋友的喜愛。
