The iron tower on the top of the Eschenberg (591 meters above sea level) was set to replace two wooden predecessors built in 1889. It has been guarded for nearly 20 years by a group of volunteers, who prevent that world-weary, lonely people commit suicide at xmas night by jumping off the tower into the deep.
From the top of the 30 meters high tower you can enjoy a wonderful view, on clear days as far as the Alps and the Black Forest.
