Ludwigplatz, Ehekarussell by Jürgen Weber und Weißer Turm, View 2, Nürnberg
Nuremberg

The Hans-Sachs-Brunnen is a large fountain in the city center of Nürnberg. The theme of the fountain is a poem of Hans Sachs about the wedlock. In the early 11th century Nürnberg was founded on both sides of the river Pegnitz. In 1219 Nürnberg received town rigths and Imperial Immediacy. There is an Imperial Castle in Nürnberg. Many Imperial Diets were held in Nürnberg. The city was a most important center of commerce and was the center of the Renaissance in Germany.
