Church of Santa Maria del Carmine, located in the eponymous square, in the northern part of the historical center of Milan, is an example of Lombard Gothic architecture and fits perfectly into the architectural appearance of the city. Construction of the temple began in 1400, on the site of the old Carmelite church and author of the project was made by architect Bernardo da Venezia.
