The ancestral estate of the ancient Russian noble family of the Shatilovs is a landmark of the Orel region. Joseph Nikolaevich Shatilov, 1824-1889, active state councilor, cultural farmer and public figure, president of the Imperial Moscow Society of Agriculture since 1864, organizer of the Petrovsky Agricultural and Forestry Academy. The manager's house, built in the middle of the XIX century. The museum and scientific library of the Shatilovskaya Agricultural experimental station. Stone Orthodox Church in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God.It was built at the expense of Osipom Fedorovich Shatilov in the village of Mokhov in 1777-1783.
