Mtsensk with Cathedral mountain (mount Smorod) on a high rocky left Bank of the river Zushi - the territory lost Small Burg Mtsenskaya fortress; the Orthodox Temple of apostles Peter and Paul (1625) of the former Peter and Paul monastery; the Ruins of the Church of St. George (1825). on the territory of the Balchug (the Old Posada) in the oldest part of the city; a Chapel in Memory of Nicholas Cathedral (1810-1841.g.destroyed in 1930) wooden "St. Nicholas house" stood on the top of the mountains of Smorod from the XVII century; the Church of the ascension (1702) the former Archangel of the ascension women's-convent; on the opposite lower right Bank of the Zushi Church of the exaltation of the Holy cross (Nikita, oral & written 1818), the city of Mtsensk, Oryol oblast, Russia
