This large dome church "Basiliek H.H.Agatha en Barbara" is placed in Oudenbosch, a city in the province of North Brabant. Pastor Willem Hellemons has realised this remarkable church in the sixties of the nineteenth century. In 1865 they started to build the church, the most important advisor, the most famous architect of the time: Pierre Cuypers. The church was built after the example of St. Pieter's in Rome. By the special relationship of the parish and the church with the Vatican Pope Pius X has elevated the church to "basilica minor" in 1912.
