Niseko Hirafu - Fujiwara
Hokkaido

Probably not the best place to stop and take a panorama but on this day the cornice was fairly safe and this area was open to enter at your own risk by the ski patrol.

Fujiwara gully is in between Hirafu and Hanazono and is named after a person who died there after being caught up in an avalanche there - i don't usually snowboard or ski around so if you do head in there please be mindful of the dangers.

After shooting panos for the most part of the day i was really tired and was just snowboarding around with my rig ready to go - when  i got to this point instead of unstrapping my board tand taking my bag off i just placed my set up above the front of my board shot the pano i then detached my camera moved my tripod out of the way and took the down shot hand held and it actually worked out ok - laziness pays off sometimes.
