Hangestuko or Half Moon Lake is at the base of Mt Yotei and a popular short hike. At this time of year the whole area is a awash with autumnal splendor.

There are 2 hiking courses - one trail takes you down to the lakes edge and another circumnavigates around the upper plateau the lake is forged from.
