The Nuragic civilization developed during the Middle Bronze Age (1600 BC) and it lasted until Carthaginians arrived in the 6th century BC. There are about 7000 nuraghe in Sardinia. The nuraghe Majori has a sub-circular shape and is made of large wide stones.
