PERU - Coastal Desert of Nazca - Crossing a Large Stretch of Sand
Peru

This is one of the most surprising and memorable landscapes I got to discover during my exploration of the Nazca Desert, the coastal desert of Peru. We are about 3 km from the Ica River and 17 km from the seashore, but this "sea of sand" seems to have no end. This was shot in the afternoon and the clouds are back in the sky at the lower elevations along the coast.
