Located in Dock No.3 of the Port of Kaohsiung, Pier-2 Art Center was originally a harbor warehouse owned by Taiwan Sugar Corporation.Through the efforts of a group of passionate artists and local cultural workers, Pier-2 Art Center has evolved as an open and distinctive art space for the use of experimental workshops of creative productions and the development center of crafts and creative arts in southern Taiwan.

Converted from the old harbor warehouse, the art center is very much of a post-modern style, providing artists and students a space to present their creative work.Artistic and cultural events are held here from time to time, creating a strong artistic atmosphere in the City of Kaohsiung.
