Queen and Spadina Toronto
Toronto

Welcome to the corner of Queen Street West and Spadina Avenue in Toronto.

A very famous spot in the city both day and night.

Here we are at the tail end of rush hour as streetcar after streetcar loads passengers.

Many a squeegie kid have been banned and arrested at this intersection.   Many a late night throw-up sessions have occurred in the McDonalds across the street.

Head south down Spadina to the Gardiner Expressway an to Rogers Centre (Skydome)... head north up Spadina and you are right in Chinatown.

Head east right here on Queen to some of the trendiest shopping stores in Toronto including Steve's Music Store and Silver Snail Comics, amongst all the other clothing and cosmetic stores.

Just beside McDonalds there used to be a Blockbuster Video store for years and years.  It was the only one in the 1990's that carried old-school LaserDiscs for rental.

Circa 1999 I would make a long trip downtown to rent new releases here but not before having a hot dog from the vendor at this corner.

But this is not the same vendor.  And the hotdogs are no longer $2.
