Rathausplatz Bern
Switzerland

The Rathausplatz is a plaza in the Old City of Bern, the medieval city center of Bern. The building right in the middle of the image is the Rathaus (City hall), constructed in the year 1406 - 1415. It is the the meeting place of the the Grosser Rat (Grand Council) and the Regierungsrat (Executive Council) of the canton of Bern. On its left side you see the the church St. Peter und Paul. The Fountain on the plaza is called Vennerbrunnen (Banner Carrier or Vexillum Fountain).

Recorded using a Samyang 8 mm fish-eye lens on a Nikon D90.
