Following the road that leads towards the base of the Red Buttes in the Red Buttes Wilderness near Seiad Valley, California.  Lingering snow makes access to the area impassable, even so with a bicycle.  Unfortunately, a few months after this photo, the Miller Complex Fire swept through here, burning most of the vegetation seen.
