Rostov-Yaroslavsky is one of the most charming little towns of the Golden Ring on the bank of Nero lake. It is deserted and snowy in winter, but it is bustling with life in summer. Lots of tourists are eagar to see the masterpieces of ancient Russian architecture. One of them -the Cathedral  of Assumption, 15-16 cc.-is still in scaffolding. Rostov Kremlin is a truly fascinating museum in the open air, a harmonious architecture ensemble. Just nearby there is an old commercial centre with a number of little shops.
