Scapa Pier, Scapa, St. Ola, Orkney
Scotland

Scapa is to the South of Kirkwall. There is a narrow piece of land between Kirkwall and Scapa. In times long past times the Vikings would drag their longships across as a faster way to get from Kirkwall to Scapa Flow than to sail around.

Scapa pier is where the harbour authority tugs are stationed and other support vessels for the oil tankers which regularly visit Scapa Flow.
